3g hotspot sharing over wifi for iphone4 customers. Sweet. I'm happy about that.

I'd love a rotation lock for my iphone4 as well.

The airtunes thing I already have via plex media server...

You know you do right?

I laughed when they showed $39 for the stupid HDMI cable. They brag about having a $499 device that does all of these "magical" things, but then want to charge almost 10% of it's price on a cable that costs $0.12 to make? Please.

Ha nope. I'll go figure it out :p

edit: meh, it doesn't work like the android one... I'd like to be able to turn it one way and have the screen rotate, but turn the device the other way and the screen doesn't rotate.

I wonder if anyone will try and make a feature length movie only on the iPad.

I'd say that criticism would be valid for the playbook and not really for android.

Yeah. I get what you're saying. All I'm saying is that app selection for Honeycomb isn't anywhere near iPad right now. And it won't be too soon.

So Garageband looks cool. He mentions that this will be a dream come true for a lot of bands.

I have an electronic drumset. I can output MIDI and I can also output to my headphones. Is there any way I could hook up to the iPad and have it recorded?

The thing though is the number of apps doesn't really mean much. How many tip calculators or unit conversion tools are there in those numbers? If it launches with angry birds, I'll play that for a month or so before needing a new game. In that time 100 more will be up, I can play with one for another month, and then the number of games will be 2500...

March 11 ship

I saw that for the carriers. Wasn't sure if that was WiFi too.

I'm not an Apple guy, and I'd gladly purchase an Android tablet, over the iPad, but the only Android tablet I'd buy is too expensive. Hoping the Motorola Xoom prices will come down to Earth in a few months.

Girlfriend's birthday is coming up, and although I try to avoid Apple products, I'm thinking of getting her an iPad if the Xoom doesn't come down in price. She uses a lot of different WiFi hotspots throughout her normal day, so I'm thinking an iPad would be much more convenient for her.

Store link is up

Prev gen iPad now starts at $349. Wow.

Wow. Might make me consider an old iPad. I've got an iPhone4 for facetime and cameras. The iPad would be mostly a reader for me. I wouldn't use the HDMI out (laptop and HTPC for that), and the only difference that would make me want a new iPad would have been a retina display.
