As bad as this is for POTUS, I expect the more immediately concerned are Stone, Cohen and possibly Kushner. They likely have the money trail now.

So is the Podestra group going to start facing charges? We know that road leads straight to the Clintons and Obama.

SO fine of you to acknowledge that your prince, is a steaming pile of shit corruption.. I take it thats the reason for the whatabout? Clinton & Obama just as bad as Trump? Worse?

LOL...one of things Manafort plead guilty to was orchestrating a smear campaign against then-SecState Hillary Clinton for not supporting the Kremlin's man in Ukraine and daring to stand up for his opponent. He worked with pro-Israeli elements to help smear Hillary as an anti-Semite.

Interesting...because who's to say he didn't try the same tactic with Uranium One in 2016?

Its allmost like Kremlin have been sowing discord into the US with the "right" as proxy...
Who knew? Right?

The stuff relating to Podesta Group, Mercury (hi Mike Flynn), and Skadden all relate to unregistered foreign lobbying barred by FARA. There are probably a lot of groups violating FARA and some examples should be made. The whole business of foreign governments employing US people (often former officials or politicians themselves) lobbying US politicians directly is sketchy as fuck already, some consideration should be given to flatly prohibiting it.

Lobbying has been the real swamp for some time. It's amazing how much it has grown, it started ramping up during the Reagan years.

It is crazy.

What about your link is crazy? It's called politics, and _EVERYONE_ has staff selling access.

There's a very simple reason why companies paid Michael Cohen so much money
In most presidential campaigns -- and with most presidential candidates -- this is a seamless process. The vast majority have spent time in elected office. They have interacted regularly with the influence culture of lobbyists and the like. Someone in large-sized company always knows someone in a big presidential campaign.

The Trump campaign was not like most campaigns. Sure, Trump was a businessman. But, his business was selling himself. And the people who worked for him were, largely, just that: People who did stuff Trump told them to do. His inner circle was very, very small and almost entirely composed of family members and a handful of slavishly devoted underlings like Cohen and Dan Scavino.

Hiring lobbyists is like hiring salesmen. The public has a right to know who's hiring them. The way Manafort & Cohen did it there's no way to tell who's paying, & therein lies the problem. I mean, there are rules, even if they allow for a lot of sleazy behavior.
