Manafort, 69, denies involvement in the hack and says the claim is “100% false”. His lawyers declined to answer the Guardian’s questions about the visits.

This is a likely reason in part why the pending charges against Assange are under seal in order to keep the conspirators in the dark as much as possible.

I was reading that some of Manafort's new crimes could outlast Trump's administration and thus if they sit on them and wait to charge until DJT is out, then Paul can't get pardoned for those and he's effed.

This probably deserves its own thread. We now have Trump's soon to be campaign manager secretly meeting with the conduit Russia used to disseminate the stolen emails. I will be very, very interested to see what Mueller claims Manafort was lying about in his upcoming filing because if it's about this then Trump could be in deeeeeeeep shit.

I read something else I thought was interesting as well, Mueller seems absolutely certain Manafort is lying, meaning he already had that information from another source.

How Mueller and team is building this all up suggest a few things to me...

1. They got dem IQ's
2. They are here to bring the pain.

Soon Trumps only resort will be his last resort : The Pardons. Lets see what happens then.

Trump is like this toddler; its no fair, they rigged it too, why Mueller only look at me... No fair. Everybody rigs, specially crooked Hillary.

I'm not sure I buy the whole Manafort-Assange meeting story without knowing more about the source and what evidence was provided. My spidey sense wonders if it's a fake story that was planted just so it could be proven false and this whole investigation thrown into doubt.

That said, I don't think the Guardian is easy to fool. But I'm eagerly awaiting more info from Team Mueller related to Manafort's sentencing.
 
Methinks the ultimate most painful punishment that Trump could be sentenced with is to compel him to take both knees and apologize face to face to every single person he has ever mocked and insulted with his childish brand of name calling.

It's not in his lexicon, it was never in his heart and I believe he's never ever done it with any amount of sincerity.

I agree there needs to be some independent verification but if this holds up people will need to start checking their food and drink for radioactivity.
 
Wikileaks is accusing The Guardian of lying. Is there any concrete evidence to refute wikileaks at this point? ( I really don't know)

Yep. Sounds like Mueller set a trap for manafort but the trap was to catch trump in a lie as well. Trumps written answers will no doubt match up with manaforts bullshit answers for which Mueller already knows they are bullshit.

So we have trump not only lying to the FBI, but we also have obstruction of justice for colluding with manafort to mislead FBI.

I'm sure there will be more as well.

WikiLeaks also accused people of lying about reports of them in contact with Trump Jr. and Roger Stone before they were proven to be true.

I’m not aware of other independent verification of this Guardian story so there’s certainly a chance it isn’t true but there is zero reason to believe a word Wikileaks says as they have been caught repeatedly lying in the past about exactly this sort of thing.

As it stands, WikiLeaks has every incentive to lie about its connections to the Trump campaign... because if it's shown that the organization was explicitly taking sides and corrupting politics, its credibility (whatever it has, anyway) is shot. WikiLeaks' whole image is based on the claim that it's interested in the raw truth, whoever it damages, and this would prove that this claim has been a lie.

I agree, Wikileaks credibility is questionable at best, and even that much means it can no longer fulfill the role it claims to exist for. Which is sad because I believe the world needs such an organization. Our world is too filled with secrets and propaganda, we need a group that can extra-legally disseminate information that powerful people and the governments that protect them want kept secret.
