There was a guy with a napsack outside Bryant Park about an hour ago and people were running away from him. Screw this, I refuse to live in fear. I can die from a bomb or I can die slipping on the soap in the shower. I am not going to live in fear because of this. It's just what the terroists want.

I wonder how much of this is a typical day for NYPD, I mean certainly this is much more bomb threat activity than normal, but surely NYPD dealt with this on daily basis before too. I just wonder how much of an increase in reports this is?

I mean, from what I've been hearing there have been a rediculous amount of threats (some are kooks calling in fake threats and some are people calling in all sorts of 'suspicous' packages and people).
