IT's me again... Last night i posted the empire state building bomb first cuz of my friend's police scanner...

NOW there is an arab guy at grand central with a backpack with wires poking out... could be a bomb or something.. ppl at grand central terminal are PANICKING.. news haven't picked it up yet.... nothing yet.... keep watching and prayin

just heard the same thing... listening to the scanners.
Nothing on the news channels yet tho.

No bomb there. That's where a bomb threat was called in.

Please don't post stuff from the scanner the minute you hear it. Wati a few for some sort of confirmation. We don't need any more rumors flying around!
 
Man there are bomb threats ALL OVER! It's nuts. I think most of it is panicy people calling in all kinds of 'suspicious bags' etc.
 
Some quotes, as best I can:

*People running up the street from the Port Authority screaming that there's a bomb

*Someone called in from a pay phone, saying that a bomb was going to go off

*They're seeing a black and red canvas bag near a construction site

*Now, just saying that there's a "suspicious yellow package" somewhere


...more to come to keep people updated. This is terrifying.


*2 suspicious males, from the phone company

*441 9th Ave. is where the original call was from

*Police are looking for witnesses now (11:29 a.m. CST)

*Talking about it has died down. I wonder if they've gone to private lines or something

*GOOD! Report of "no bomb here" at the Empire State Building

*W. 28th and 7th Ave. at the subway entrance is the location of a/the "suspicious package"

*Range Rover with CA plates stopped, want to know if the FBI is still looking for one?

*Suspicious vehicle on 7th Ave., has been there all morning

if people keep calling bomb threats and stuff of this nature they're going to close down NYC and declare Martial Law.

msnbc stated the reason so many are needed is that each individual body part has to be put in it's own bag.

Gruesome I know, but that's why they need so many.
 
This is nuts. If you listen to every bomb threat you wont want to leave the house. Man, I have to get home from Grand Central tonight 🙁

Everyone is going nuts around here. GCT is closed, a lot of the buildings around it are being evacuated. I am about three blocks away. They just kicked everyone out of my building them told them to get back in.
 
Not confirmed but likely. To tell the truth I think NYC is one of the safest places to be right now. It's like a Police State here.
