Man, Terminator 2 was so ahead of its time

Yeah! I was watched Speed the other day for the first time in a long time (about 10 years), and the acting/lines were so cheesy.

I didn't feel that way with T2 so much. Save for maybe a few of John Conner's line.

T1 to T2 is sort of like Aliens 1 to Aliens 2.

The first in each series were dark, sci-fi/horror flicks. The second ones were straight up action.

Good call. That is definitely why I enjoy T1 over T2. I really like Alien, but have not seen the second one, so cannot comment on the differences.

you really need to watch A2 and 3 if you have not seen them

A3 is more like A1 and IMO is just as good

leave now

T1 > T2 in some aspects but on it,s own T2 >>>>> T1

T1 is an awesome story line and for its day, it had pretty good special effects.

And yes, T2 had good acting. I think both did. There weren't really any cheesy scenes in either.

POLL?!?!?!?!

I saw Speed in the movie theater when it first came out. I thought it was an excellent action movie and still think that. It's not the smartest film I've ever seen but it beats the pants off of most action movies. Am I the only one?

Pretty much paved the way for modern CGI.

T2 is absolutely fantastic.

the acting really wasn't that bad, I thought.

I miss the good James Cameron. Hopefully, some day, he can rise up again and destroy the evil James Cameron.

I just realized something.....is this why the Glau terminator character in the current series is named Cameron? 😱

I like them both. It's not a competition.

the first is great for what it is. Especially when you consider how good it was for being on a shoestring budget.

But that damn midi soundtrack has got to go! 🙁
