You can't take what you read here as "normal". Half of it ain't true, and the other half is people bragging. The normal ones just don't join in the pissing contest.
I'm graduating this week, I've got a decent job lined up but I also have student loans and a wife to support who needs 3 more years of school that I need to pay for. Charmed life? I think not.
I've got enough to let me play with my jeep and keep food on the table. I'm happy with that.
I did turn down a job that would pay more mostly because I wanted to spend more time at home and I just didn't think it would be much fun. There's more to life than getting paychecks and having a nice car. I can have a blast for $20-50. That's enough to go camping for a whole weekend, including gas to get there.
