Here seems to be a pretty cut and dry case where someone should get the death penalty. The man admits to killing the kids with apparently no remorse over the fact, and his main motive appears to be to "make the ex suffer". Anyone who is so careless about another human life that they would allow something so petty as making another suffer justify killing is unsaveable. If prison is for correcting prisoners and preparing them to come back into society, I don't think the uncorrectable should be allowed to damage our society further by having us through money and care at them for the rest of their life.
Nah... Give this guy a few life sentences in a Federal "pound me in the ass" prison, and make sure that everyone knows that he was a child killer. In fact, it wouldn't hurt to remind folks about it every few weeks. Trust me, he'll be wishing that he got the death penalty!
The thing is that people like him get put in protective custody in prisons.
Doing what you suggest is considered 'cruel and unusual punishment'
It sickens me too.
Instead he will be put in a cell of his own for 23 hours a day, fed, and given medical care, for the rest of his life.
That's sickning, specially considering people in the US have to work and pay for their own healthcare, but people in jail get it free (from taxes people pay). WTF is wrong with the goverment. I won't point my finger directly at the US goverment since I'm sure its just as bad here... first off, killers, abusers etc in jail should get 0 health care. If they get sick, too bad. They should be forced to live on 2 cups of water per day and maybe a few slices of bread per week.
Now for the less serious crimes like drugs, stealing etc, different story, give them healthcare and decent needs, but murderers, no.
