I own a dog and I don't love it more than other people. I love it more than strangers but my wife and child come WAAAAY before the family mutt. On a scale of 1-10 with my wife and son being a 12 the dog rates a 2. Strangers would rate 1.

I hate it when people kill animals out of cruelty, anger, idiocy, etc. Killing animals to live (ie cows for food) is justified. But not out of the previously stated.

But yes, this may sound mean, it is just a dog. And YES I am a dog owner, well was. I had a dog for 15 years, cutest little guy in the world and if someone did that to him if he were still alive, I'd go ballistic. But fact is, thousands of people die everyday and some are murdered yet no one really cries out "that pos mofo needs to burn in hell, etc".

But I also agree that most people love their pets more than other people...and there is some justification in that.

So in conclusion, you can see how I agree w/ everyone's points here

I own a dog, and unfortunately two cats. I have owned several dogs. But, you know what, they're dogs, they're not my kids, my wife, my parents, my other family members. There is a difference.
