You know as I read some of these posts, I am positive that this thread wouldn't even have been started if the guy murdered the hotel owner instead.

I don't think killing a dog with a sword is animal cruelty. It's essentially the same way animals are butchered to eat. It's no more cruel to cut the throat of a pet dog than it is to cut the throat of a cow or sheep.

He's still a jackass who's guilty of destruction of property and assault, though.

It was just a dog. You ppl act like he killed a person.

He definately needs some jail time for killing the dog and assaulting the owner tho.

obviously you dont own a dog. its a well know fact that humans probably love there animals more than other people.

I own a dog and I don't love it more than other people. I love it more than strangers but my wife and child come WAAAAY before the family mutt. On a scale of 1-10 with my wife and son being a 12 the dog rates a 2. Strangers would rate 1.

well i agree with that, i love my dog also but i love my family but still if my dog is in danger i'm not going to just let him die, if a guy tries to kill him fuc$ his life my dog is first.

With a sword and because he was upset about being evicted because he didn't pay rent?

It would have been posted

I knew when highlander came out on DVD crap like this would happen. All of these ninjas & samurais & scottish highlanders & bravehearts are all the same, totally irresponsible lawbreakers. This guy was thinking he would get magic powers or some sh!t by killing the dog.

Jail? Puh-lease. They're already WAY too overcrowded with people that shouldn't be there.

Fine him and give him community service.

There should be a law, that should punish people like this with the same act they performed against the animal.

Aboslutely not!! What they need to do is bump it up to Texas law. You have the right to defend your property with deadly force. I see you stabbing my dog? I'm gonna stab you with 150 grains of hollow point lead.

Did anyone else picture someone holding a bullet and trying to stab someone with it? :D
