The 1st worthwhile post in the entire thread! Kudos!
To everyone else: while I do not agree with this guy's choices, saying he should get "put in a hot oven" or a decade of prison is a little extreme. (And for the record, I think advocating placing him in a hot over is EXTREMELY offensive. Anyone remember the Holocaust?)
It is a dog. It is not a human being. There IS a difference. I don't understand how so many people are quick to cry about a mistreated dog but will look the other way when they see a homeless veteran on the streets. They cry over a dog but have no problem with abortion. The ultimate irony: they are so offended by this man's cruelty to an animal that they advocate VIOLENCE against the perpetrator. This country/world is screwed up.

man you are all over the place. I don't think anyone is happy to see a homeless veteran on the street, but at the same time just being a veteran doesn't buy you anything. Many chose to serve to avoid the streets in the first place.
Now put a war hero on the street...I somehow think he is going to get some help.
A dog is alive...there is a lot of debate on abortion...what trimester are you talking about? You argument is totally ignorant.
IMHO the only way to deal with cruelity is to deal it out. Those that are cruel know their punishment will be easy compared to the 'justice' they gave due to passive and bleeding hearts.
I used to fight a lot as a kid...I didn't want to, somehow because whatever chick, car, opinion, or book I was reading someone wanted to make an example of me. I was a nerd...didn't have sex until 17/18 because I avoided girls in a way until then. I was into weightlifting, wrestling, football, and martial arts since 15 for most of those. I didn't lose many fights...but after each fight I'd feel bad for the other person...no one wants an as_beating still everyone needs to think of the consequences of bringing hurt to someone else.
Those that torture the defenseless whether they be animal or human have deeply seated issues that could cause major harm to the average person.
