Damn it, if this is indicative of the rest of the week - it doesn't look to good for me.

I've been at work two hours and I want to go home. I'm tired and I have about 10 chapters of Frankenstein to read for tomorrow for ENC1102.

edit: clarification

You can call it that. Meanwhile, a coworker keeps coming to me with customer questions that sound like that customer is just using words that he/she cannot understand.

My job is starting to really make me sick. Management has turned in to a bunch of control freaks. I'm ready to make a move. I used to love Mondays, now I cringe when it's time to go to bed on Sundays.

Yes, well, you deal with the goddamn customer so that the engineers don't have to!

I am the engineer. It's just that apparently somebody thought I have good people skills so I can work with customers when need arises.

Same boat here too. As far as I'm concerned the weekend ends at 5 pm Sunday. After this point I can't get the thought out of my head that it's no longer different than if I had just got home from work on a weekday and I'm waiting for work the next day. The weekend = 5 pm Friday - 5 pm Sunday.

Been here since 7:15am (eastern), right when I got in, I had a lovely email waiting from me, written by a client who wasnt too happy with the way I made the text look on her website and complaining that I shouldnt have asked her to send me content in word files. I finished up her site late last week so I could focus on another site that needs to get done by friday, and now I've gotta split time. It's going to be a great week....

It's a quarter after 9 (in the office now), I started work at 7 this morning (I work less than a mile from home), and I'm already in the "screw this" mode. I'm gonna go have a #1 w/ a Fresh Soda Lemonade at Pho 54. That should make things better.

With each day that passes my dream of just saying f*ck it and walking out seems more realistic. Been looking online a lot at planning a 3 month trek through Europe.. I've decided to do it, what good is it to work hard to save money if you don't enjoy it???

Well, FPL just shut the power off at this office. (They need to do maintenance or something cause Jeanne hit this weekend)

Do we get to go home? Nope. Instead, they're letting the generator run until 5pm (5 hours) so that everyone can continue working. Except there's no A/C, half the lights are off, and only 1 elevator (out of 3) is working.

Employee's well-being? What's that?

heh well this is my 3rd week at my new job, and so far I haven't really done much at all ... but i'm still getting paid :)

I have nothing to complain about ... although I can't believe I actually get bored behind a computer and I get paid for it :)
