professional counseling to be shown the error of his ways first, then some quality court time followed up with many many years of prison time. his cellmates and their neighbors will attempt to impregnate him repeatedly (besides beating him and perhaps killing him for his misdeed.)

Hmmm I wonder how a 9 year old could physically handle a pregnancy. If it were not for the 16 week abortion (which some can view as murder itself) no telling what would have happened to a nine year old or her child. I say kill the SOB cause I don't want the bastard getting out for good behavior in 7 years.
most of what I think has already been covered by others. This man is evil and deserves punishment.
But what about the girl's mother... how do you think this evil man gained access to this girl? It is the parents job to protect the child to adulthood. This mother failed in that job as bad as is possible.
By the sounds of the letters the girl wrote, the mother has been training her to be a little hoochie... lessons learned by watching her mother pick married criminals to bed down with.
This is a sad story all around. Hopefully it causes a wakeup call for the mother and the community.

my wife and I have worked with DCFS for years. we have seen this exact situation happen a before. The child is scarred for life! she is going ot have a hard time haveing a normal life.
A 9yr old does have the plumbing and teh start of a body for sex. BUT she does NOT have the mental compacity to understand what it envolves. Saying that she enjoyed it is wrong. she wanted to please her "daddy". She was willing to do anything to keep the attention comeing.
I voted for death but more i think about it thats to easy. Throw him in Gen-pop of the jail. He will get what is comeing to him.
IT is RAPE and the courts should punish him based on it.

I had a full bush and breasts at the age of 9, and I had no idea what to make of it. It was so absurd to me that one day I went into my older sister's room where she and a friend were hanging out, and I said, "Wanna see the hairiest thing in the world?" and flashed my cooch. (You should have seen the looks on their faces!) 😀 I can assure you I was not ready to have sex by any stretch of the imagination. My period started right around my 10th birthday. I didn't know what it was at first because my mother hadn't told me about sex yet... my sisters didn't start their periods until they were 13-14.
My parents did the best they could to protect me, but there were some things they couldn't shield me from (school bus harrassment, harrassment at school, harrassment at after-school jobs, etc.). I grew up being leered at at groped by men and boys of all ages, and I hated it. It was embarrassing and humiliating. Worse, a lot of girls hated me for having the body of a woman when they were just hoping for their 'mosquito bites' to grow.
I've been fortunate... the devastation to my sense of self worth tripped me up a bit in life, but there have always been people around who love me and help keep me from totally self-destructing. I can only imagine what other little girls will go through... little girls who don't have families to love and protect them as much as possible.
