There's a pretty good reason why "good guy with a gun" stories with happy endings either involve either ex-military or ex-law enforcement. A lot of American gun owners seem to have this cowboy fantasy where they'll pull out their six shooter, nail the bad guys, and save the day. It's one thing to be able to accurately hit still targets at the range. It's something entirely different to do the same with a moving, thinking target. Especially in close quarters. Even trained cops are going to hesitate at making a shot like that.
But that's how it works on TV, so that's how it always works in reality, right?

Or are you telling me that TV has lied to me all these years?

Hmm...this doesn't sound like the behavior of a typical law abiding concealed permit holder:

Police say the witness who shot at the suspects picked up shell casings and left the scene.

Huh...interesting.

So, you're saying he was shooting at the victim to aide the carjackers?
Maybe not just some random person, but something coordinated.

Or just someone who did something really stupid and then tried to double-down on the stupid by attempting to cleanly leave a type of place that's usually known for having lots of cameras recording the premises.

Handguns are notoriously inaccurate, unless your line of fire is completely clear your better off not using it.

Daily reminder that Jules is a hypocrite that feels it's acceptable for him to carry guns when there are scary people rioting around him, but that no one else should.

That and he's one of most blatant trolls on this forum.

Going by the comments 404 full story not found.

I don't even believe the comments. Its just... obviously... not the full story.

The man who discharged his gun may not have shot the victim. But, by leaving the scene, he broke the law. If he even has a CHL, he can kiss it goodbye.

Yes. I've read more than one story that he shot at the fleeing truck, and the victim was hit over the head by the car-jackers (not shot).

Your report seems to have neglected to mention the police charged the scumbag with attempted murder. Please tell me you just forgot to mention this.

Media will only carry a negative story.

Carjackers shot at, yet somebody thinks that might not be a deterrent. SMH
