I don't know the reason why exactly, but it seems to me that at work, the most boisterous and fervently motivated members of the crew are Repubs. Myself, I don't discuss politics (or religion) at work because it tends to promote divisiveness and ruin friendships.
That being said, I have noticed the Repubs in the crew becoming ever more loud, ever more desperate, frustrated and incessantly vocal in their behavior as the election season progresses. Although clearly outnumbered by those who either aren't Repubs or like me, don't like to talk politics at work, they make up for it by interjecting their Repub talking points into "normal" everyday topics every chance they get. It's like they're bipolar, being obsessed, or paranoid, or in the grip of some kind of emotionally inspired frame of mind that for me, shows the classic signs of manic behavior interrupted by periods of angry depression.
Because of their behavior, most folks avoid their company knowing the topic of disucssion will invariably end up being whatever Limbaugh, FOX and the conservative AM radio stations are pushing that morning.
They play their radios the loudest whenever they're listening to their daily dose of rightie AM ralk shows. I have my suspicions but never approached them to find out why they do that. Best to leave them alone lest I become a target of their ire, IMO.
I admire their passion, but I just don't like it when they go out of their way in their attempts to convince others to think as they do politics-wise. It's a turn-off and they really don't mind at all doing it.
However, politics aside, they're capable of being "normal" folks that get along with everybody else, seemingly likable and disarming with healthy dispositions.
OTOH, there aren't any Dems in the crew that are so....."motivated" as the Repubs in the crew are, and I wonder why is that?
