Dude, you're not helping yourself.

Seriously, though... why three knives??

Here's the list, they all fill a particular purpose...

Swiss Army Champ- My workhorse knife. Lots of tools, and the blade's easy to sharpen

Leatherman Micra- Mostly for the scissors. I also like the small screwdrivers

Cold Steel Mini Culloden- A short fixed blade for defense.

I also use a Leatherman Classic for work, but that's work only.

Edit:
I like having different flavors of snus. Usually 2 lös and 1 portion style :^D

What the fuck do you need to carry a note pad around for? Doesn't your phone have a memo pad program on it? Phone + keys + wallet = pockets. If you're not foresighted enough to wear clothes that have pockets, then you fail. Period. "Man purse" = fail.

For me, I need it because I never know where an idea for the next ad will pop up.

But no that's ok, I'm sure everyone out there can have their pants bulge look like old german officers in WW2 holding all the stuff you expect people to wear in their pockets.

Otherwise they have gay sex with men, right?

Favorite bag I've come across was a Camelbak Motherlode. The bag was a good size, the material was stout, removable frame plate, nice lumbar strap and back pad, and lots of webbing for random stuff taht might not fit inside. The major drawback is that the pack couldn't fit me even with the shoulder straps cinched down all the way. This thing is a military pack and probably meant to be used with body armor.

yep, same here.

i have a pocket knife, for misc cuttings and such, i dont count on it for self defense, its a kershaw leek so i dont think it would do much good (thin, slick, probably be easy to lose my grip).

i have a micra...and keep in on a separate ring from my keys, and keep keys and the micra on a carabiner. ive found that i mostly use the micra as a bottle opener now so im looking at just getting an assisted open knife or some such with a bottle opener on it.

i have a leatherman surge. if i know ill need it, i put it on my belt. anything i need regularly i can keep attached to me or in my pockets.

if i probably wont need it, it stays in my laptop/book bag or my car (i keep the leatherman, a flashlight, as screwdriver, patch cable, couple of network jack parts as well, and ibuprofen, and ink pens and a notepad). carry a bag if you want to...but god damn, its such a pain in the ass to do that all the time.

Prices are in AUD. (Australian Dollar)

so whats that, then, $90 or $100 US?

i guess if youre gonna spend that on a camelbak youll get to be the popular one on shore leaves when you fill it with vodka.

CamelBak has a drinking attachment for use with gas masks, too. I don't have any idea what you can do with a gas mask and 1.5 liters of vodka, but bring a camera.

I have this CamelBak

I just gave my old, woodland camouflage one to my 10-year old nephew last week. It was the same model, as well.

Oh, my bad.

$150??? Screw that.

Lol 150 is not much for a good back pack, considering women spend hundreds on small useless bags
You can get an awesome tactical backpack at Brigade Quartermasters for less than that.

Of course, you could also spend 334 dollars if you like.

No kidding. I bought a Coach bag for my wife this Summer. ~$300 USD. At least there wasn't any tax.

Something I've learned after carrying a notebook PC for years - a cheap bag will fall apart on you fast. After several el'cheapo notebook bags I ended up getting a Samsonite that I've had for years and years and it still looks new.

Im just saying for what you plan on carrying, a $30 bag will do the same as a $150 bag.

a $30 bah may or may not be built well, for the $150, i hope his is. i paid $50 for a used timbuk2 bag, most of those retail for $100, and its taken a beating and still looks good and isnt anywhere near falling apart, and ive had it almost 3 years.

$150 is pricey, but if he gets more than 3 or 4 years out of it, its worth

i mean, he should still have pockets....

I'm on year 3 with the bag I bought (posted it earlier in the thread). It's survived sitting out in the rain for a good portion of the day and countless moves. If the OP wants to spend $150, more power to him. I'd just rather have the extra money I guess.
