Apples to oranges. A gay person still had the right to marry. The gay couple didn't. Yes, he has the right to marry, but the second couple (him and second wife) don't.

Subtle but distinct difference especially if you are talking about equal protection, which would appear to pertain to individual citizens, not couples.

Agreed. But your wording made it sound like the protection was for the couple which could lead to all sorts of things. Man/sheep or woman/donkey couples for instance. 😱

TH, it won't help you to grow out of your bigotry by pridefully flaunting it all the time. Be happy and enjoy life. You might find out that all your fears about homosexuality are because you like men. As somebody who is solidly 100% heterosexual, I can assure you, I never am bothered by them. I feel the same way about polygamy as I do gay marriage...what the fuck does it have to do with me?



However, since everyone is descriminated against equally with regards to polygamy, I don't see any legal issues that might cause the current laws to be overturned.
