By placing an order, you are agreeing to the terms of the order. You are not entitled to anything besides the standard arrangement. The restaurant would've been doing you a favor for substituting a relatively expensive item (potatoes) for a relatively cheap item (bread). The fact that you'd decide to walk out based on this is why you are a tool.
EDIT: And btw. The company couldn't give two sh!ts about you're measly $6. You know who they do care about? The peoply that come in every other day, every week, etc. Regulars are where retail stores/restaurants/most businesses get their money, not cheap assholes like yourself. It is far more cost effective to maintain a client base then to establish new clients.
