Make your own MIRT

sweetness, if this is legal in any state *I know it's not!* I would move there this weekend. I don't condone breaking the law, but by my house there's a light that's red FOREVER (always) I hate waiting 5 minutes every damn time.

I know how you feel. The final light just before I turn into my home, there's a light that really has trouble picking up cars for the left turn and so unless we pump the brakes a couple of times or so, we can sit there for 2-3 full cycles of green and red.

STEP FOUR: USE IT WITHOUT HAVING ONE?

A few readers sent in some tricks of tripping the lights using the crosswalk button. =) So now you can get a green light even if you dont have your Dirty MIRT along with you. It is very simple:

This is how to hack a traffic light so that you can cross when ever you
want. 🙂

First of all, if it doesn't work with 1.2 seconds, try it by 1.5 seconds.
(Talking about the long clicks)

Approach any cross walk button, and do this.

Step 1: Press the button 3 times after the other quickly, then two long
clicks for 1.2 seconds each with a 1.2 second pause between them, then one
short click, two long, and three short. This will immediatly change the dont
walk to a walk, and change traffic signals at the same time.

Step 2: If this did not work, change the long clicks to 1.5 seconds with 1.5
second pause between clicks.
:Q

/runs to crosswalk

lol

red light near my part time job has a 3:30 wait if I miss the green light which is only green for 10 seconds. They have it setup so that traffic in to the shopping complex gets 75% green, traffic out gets 75% red...

It would still be fun to make it change back to a red right after it turned green and watch the faces on the people getting ready to go 🙂
