Sounds like the dad is a level headed fella, he seemed to show you some respect while enforcing his authority. Some dads would have freaked. My question is this, what's with the girlfriend that exposed the relationship? sounds like a b!tch on wheels.

I agree with the posts above. the father was cool. as a father of a 3 yr old girl, i'm not sure how i'll respond to those situations.

for future reference, don't let a girls reluctance prevent the two of you from informing the parents of your intentions, unless your going for a 1 night stand of course.

Her best friend used to like me a lot for a period of time. Her mother was in love with me and always asked me to come over for dinner, but I never liked her. Eventually I ended up going out with my girlfriend and they both started to act like it was alright, but we knew behind our backs they would be talking trash.

Her best friend (ex best friend now) .. never had a serious relationship. All she does is sleep around because she wants love. This is her only way of making herself believe she is in love. She is emotionally messed up and didn't want my girlfriend nor I to be happy because she wasn't happy. Jealousy .. and low-class family.

When you see two people getting along so well with no problems at all.. people will get jealous if they don't have that going on in their life. Maybe I'm wrong about this, but in this situation this is what happend.

dude that is messed up. too bad though at your ages sorry to say that I think both of you will move on and your love will drift away.
