This thread made my day!

Close up of the Black Lotus.

I've got WAY more too, man I'm shaking. Almost dropped my camera lol. :p

I paid $40 for the lotus and $3 for the moxes. I should sell this stuff on ebay or something.

Oh and this stuff is all BUCK-ASS mint, except for the Icy.

I completely forgot about MTG until I read this thread, thanks OP. :D

That's revised edition. Unlimited has a year on the bottom

Lotus wasn't made in Revised edition, in fact none of the Power 9 was made after Unlimited, you are mistaken.

Ah yeah... I used to play. Started right when revised (3rd ed) came out. Got boosters of "The Dark" when I started, too.

I've had my cards stolen twice :(

I didn't have any really awesome cards (such as any of the power 9), but some of my friends did. I had a few dual lands, though.

A friend of mine had a deck that, if you drew the right 7 cards, could win on your first turn. I don't really remember what it was, though. It did involve the black lotus and one or two moxes, and a fork, I believe. And some spell to do damage to be forked :)

QFT, seriously, that's a very good point.

The stack has hardly screwed the game up. It's only made it near impossible to play if you're a total dumbass. The stack really isn't that hard of a concept. You put stuff ontop of it, then start taking them off, one by one, from the things on the top. So the last thing to go onto the stack, is the first thing to happen.

Then again I've been in a handful of computer programming classes, and learned about stacks that way. Playing Magic actually made me much better at them.

I've been playing since febuary. I've spent wayyyy tooo much money on this game, but I love it anyway. The bad thing is though, that I play Legacy, which is a format where alot of older more powerful and inheriently more expensive cards are legal. I do play alot of Standard though, which is good fun. I've got a straight up white weeny that is near a mirror to one of the decks that won in the latest round of CHAMPS.

I'm also a tournament organizer at the store I work at. Heh.

Manipulation of the stack lead to impossible combo decks like Flores Black back when I played, I can only assume WotC went along with their plan when I pulled out of Magic and tried to make it more of a creature based game without silly combos.

I currently play also. I have a couple of good decks. I had Tooth and Nail when it was standard... it has changed a little bit sincei t has moved into Ext. I also have Ravager and Ext Goblins for all of my extended decks. In standard right now I have mono black aggro control and Black Green Rock <--- which is a SICK deck. I play it with a few of my friends and it has never lost in a standard game. And it has only lost once to an extended deck.

And Bob... have you every tried OCTGN online? Go to here (www.cardfloppers.com) and check it out. A great free online MTG community and MTG engine. Quick to download and has all of the updates.

I've played on and off since 4th edition. Online and offline. Currently have a couple real decks but nowhere to play. And just started playing online again today.

i played when revised came out, i don't think unlimited made it to the east coast, so i had no chance at moxes/lotus, etc. i sold all my cards a few years back and probably broke even, had a lot of dual lands.
