I have been a fan and player of MTG for a few years and I was wondering if anyone else played either TGC, MTGO, or Cardfloppers.
 
I used to play from Fallen Empires/Ice Age up till Mercadian Masques (95 to 2000?). Just lost interest overall. The books that WOTC puts out are actually half decent and good reads.
 
I played like 10 years ago. The game is still going strong? How much is an unlimited Black Lotus worth these days? Mine is pretty much mint. Hrm, coming back to me now, what about moxes from beta? I've got a bunch of those things.

OMFG, I HAD NO IDEA! I paid $40 each for these back in the mid 90's and I thought I overpaid. So you're saying my collection is worth THOUSANDS? *keels over*

I used more cards from Homelands than from Fallen Empires. FE sucked ass.

I miss playing that stuff. If some of my buddies around here played, I'd start up again.

That's what happened to me too, other friends stopped playing and going to tournaments so it got boring deck constructing and testing by myself or over the net. FE had Hymm to Tourach at least, I didn't think Homelands had much of anything.
 
Haven't played in about 9 months but I have 13,000 cards in real life and 7,000 on MTGO. Kinda afraid to get back into the game since there are like two or three sets out now that I don't have...

I have an awesome Dawn Elemental/Pariah deck and a Palinchron/High Tide/Stroke of Genius deck. Really fun to play with.
 
I played 4rth, ice and fifth, and i was pretty good
.... but the game has changed so much...
I suck at this game now.
 
Did anyone play Invasion block... that was my favorite set to play a draft. The newest set... Ravnica: City of Guilds is very similar to that. IT rocks to draft and to play.

I had a buttload of Alphas, Betas, some revised and a smattering of 4th edition.
Thats when I decided I was playing too much and PAYING too much. It used to be a fun game, until WotC found out they were making money. Then they got greedy. Which is usually the time I give up hobbies.
Had the same problem with D&D.

I enjoyed the Microprose game of Magic for Win98. Lots of fun and I can have all the Black Loti I want.
 
I played from Tempest til the set after Mercadian Masques....It got boring and I moved on to other things. I gave all my cards to another friend who played. It used to be pretty fun.
