Yeah, most developers will be putting out universal binaries in time so that they can run on PowerPC/intel whichever the user has.
 
x1600 in the imac? is that the improved version?

gotta wonder why ati didn't have the x1700 out in time, if it is supposed to launch later this month anyway

Yeah, I don't think there will be much (if anything) from stopping you from putting XP on these. (Though, OS X on other PC's isn't supposed to be able to happen...)
 
If dual boot is possible then, well, my next computer might be an iMac.... Not a bad deal for all of those features, dualcore and 17" lcd all in one compact body.
