That's not going to help with word file...I can tell who's actually looking at the file and who's not...so far apparently no one.
 
The procedure is really pretty simple. Rename it .iDoc. Head over to the bathroom. Take all of the money out of your wallet and flush it down the toilet. Go out for a walk and make fun of the first unattractive person you see. Since you're out for a walk anyway, buy some polish. Now when you get back, go down in your basement or kitchen and find an appliance that nobody ever sees and the looks of which aren't important - use the polish on it until you can see yourself in it. Compliment yourself on your good looks and the lack of viruses on your computer. Congrats. The file won't work, but now you don't care. You're cool (tm).

Of course I've tried it...I said that in my OP. The embedded images will not be decompressed in a Windows based word app.

Hey asshole, I did look. It says you need a decompressor in word. I looked online and discovered that this is typically a problem when a image is imported on a mac and you can only get the image when you then load it on a mac. So only then do I ask for assistance since I don't have one.

If there are windows solutions like you claim please list them. I'll bet right now you can't find one.

Yeah, my searches concluded the same. Looks like a problem when mac users drag and drop images instead of using insert-->picture from within the program. I doubt there's anything anyone can do.

She needs to email the professor and ask him/her to re-insert the images. It would lend to her argument if she links some of the posts so the prof can see it's not an isolated problem on your sister's end.
