I know I'm late but E46 M3 >>> Infiniti G(anything) and you can get one for $25k. Who gives a crap if someone paid $50k or $25k a year later, it's the same damn car.

I smoked some dumb ass kid in a G37 with my Cobra a few weeks ago. Some punk ass kid with a backward baseball cap playing rap music and driving with one hand jack rabbiting around people. Brand new G7 with temp tags, tinted windows and chrome rims already. He went flying by me and I just let it go since I was doing the speed limit and he was doing at least 90. But then the light ahead went yellow. I saw him tap his brake, then step on it, thinking about running it but was too far out, then he slammed on the brakes to stop at the last minute as I nonchalantly roll up on the red. He was jack rabbiting at the light and rolling and generally being a douche. Let him get a car while I rolled out first gear to 30 and let him wind it out to make sure he started it first, then punched it and went sideways in 2nd while taking back my car and pulling him by an instant 3 cars while still blowing the tires away. His blue HIDs stayed far away after that and he refused to catch back up after I slowed down and he took the first available turn.

The "mommy just got me this car and I can race anyone" type kills are the best. Must suck when your 330 HP birthday present feels like it's going backwards when your foot is through the floor board. G37 Terminated.

Sorry to add in off topic, just noticed that guy I wrote this for got banned and won't see this anyway for a while :(

ExD, you know I respect you, and have a soft spot for the Terminators, but I have to make a couple comments here :

(1)- Spoiled Dbags driving a G35/G37 and thinking it's some kind of hot shit race car are morons, but that shouldn't affect the fact that it's really a well-balanced vehicle, offering very good performance (remember, it's not a muscle car or even a real sports car a la 370Z/Mustang/Vette/etc) along with a nice feature set and an overall nice balance.

(2)- You and I are enthusiasts, and both of us would jump on an E46 M3 in a heartbeat. It's very well respected for very good reasons. That said, it's pretty hard to find low-miles examples for $15k-$18k, and it will cost a bit more to maintain, nothing extreme though. '01-'02 models would probably be most likely to pop up in that range, with 60k-80k miles. You never know though. With the G, you could probably find an '05ish coupe OR sedan with 50k miles or less pretty easy, and parts, brakes, tires, etc will be a bit cheaper, along with insurance costs as well most likely.

It's sort of an apples/oranges. Obviously a well-kept Terminator would blow either of them away in performance (or a good C5 Vette), but that doesn't mean that an M3 or a G35 isn't a good choice depending on someone's wants and needs. I'd be happy with any of the above really, aside from the fuel economy aspect. I'm spoiled by my Focus in that regard :)

I guess I'm kinda rambling here, my only real point was that the G35/G37 are actually pretty damned nice, and we shouldn't let Dbags ruin their image by being pricks in/about them. They are what they are.

How do you guys know if he is banned besides the fact that he hasn't responded?

His member status is 'banned', which can only occur if the person has been banhammered.

It normally says 'elite member', 'diamond member', etc.

LOL!

So is it banned or vacationed? I wonder if there's a differentiation.

AFAIK Casiotech was perma-banned before. It sounds like the mods figured out this was him and decided to boot him yet again. I wouldn't be surprised if he ever tries again, he apparently doesn't have much of a life.

Yeah they really are nice cars. I didn't mean to talk negatively of the G37 so much as give Mr. "lol I has 300 HP G37 I know all about power and performance and everyone else is a poser and muscle cars were made in the 80s and only had 250 HP" a different... perspective.

E46 M3 has been growing on me. Terminator is just too brutal to daily drive the more it get's modded. Guess I'm just getting old. I'd get the SMG just to play with something new, all my cars have always had 3 pedals.

If I found a comparable M3 (price/mileage/year) as my G35, I would have jumped on it in a heartbeat. I love my car, but its a no brainer which is the better of the two.

Idiots like Casiotech and other dbag G35 owners (I've run across a number of them myself) give the good guys a bad name.

What's his story anyway? What'd he do?

Anyway, it sounds like he hasn't driven many cars. The G37 is a nice car and I really wanted to pick one up but they didn't have the manual S version yet. If he ever drove a 335i he would realize the G37 isn't the end all. The 335i is noticeably faster and more nimble than a G37. But the G37 is a much better value proposition than a 328i. It fits nicely between the 335i and 328i.

of course most ignorant fanboys still think BMW is a world leader and Infiniti is a small Nissan niche brand that just started out when Infiniti is the leader in it's class and leaving that 230hp 328i in the dust.

Just wait until the 2011 M rapes the M3.. for $20,000 less. HAHA!

Alright, what the hell is this guy smoking here? Nothing Nissan makes short of a GT-R will be better than an M3. The Nissan M series a full size luxury sedan, while the BMW M3 is a sports compact coupe/sedan.

You really do sound like a clueless Nissan fanboy.

The G37 sedan is a hideous mishappen monstrosity. It's a slightly improved go-kart from the G35 sedan. Performance aside, it's narrow, bulbous, and tall. Terrible proportions.

The G35 Coupe and G37 coupes are the only Gs worth getting, and look sick at the same time.

Did you just start driving like 2 days ago? 300c interior is atrocious.

Also the Town Car is "american luxury" at best, definitely nowhere near world-class luxury. Cheap materials and fake wood everywhere.

Lincoln LS is a very solid, yet underrated car. Definitely if you want something more lux and less sporty.

i've been in a rental 300 and honestly , that car is awful inside. I mean you spend most of your time IN the car, and well i would say the quality of some of the materials in there was possibly mcdonald's happy meal toy plastic level.

It shouldn't even be in the discussion of luxury when a new mazda 3 or a civic has probaly 10 times better an interior. Oddly a car with a great interior that is domestic is the new malibu....

To the person who said the G37 coupe is great looking , I would say the new one isnt . I had the 1st gen one and that was much better looking and the OP seems to be looking at used cars as it is. I had a G35 coupe (2005) and well depending on how you define luxury . It is definitely a sports car. luxury wise its really not the greatest, the first gen ones were pretty noisy, to the point it was sometimes hard to have a conversation in at say 70 - 80mph. I knew a guy who had an older m3 and it was much more "luxury" as far as the noise level. Another disadvatage of the infiniti's is they get horrible gas milage for their class, though it doesnt seem like thats a huge concern if you are considering a 300C

I suppose given the cars you listed, you want more of a premium sports or sporty car, than an actual luxury car. Some of the suggestsions like a lexus ES, or say a TL are probably more "luxury"

what? All BMWs come standard with leather. What year do you think you guys are in?

The only upgrade I would get on a 335 is automatic. Everything else is comparable to the G37, which also comes standard with leather, unlike what dividebyzero thinks (clothed nissan with roll up windows lololol) of course he still thinks german cars are superior when they're trailing in last place.

actually all 1 and 3 series except the m3 come with leatherette which is basically made of really high quality vinyl.

BMW i'd say is the king of stripper cars that you need to option up that end up costing way way more compared to base model of other cars. acuras, audis, infinitis, and lexus all come with leather. mercedes comes with mb-tx, but also has more standard features such as bluetooth and moonroof.

In case you missed it, the poster was a troll that knew nothing about cars.
