On any planet that assumes a 16 year old isn't mature enough to make decisions regarding sexual contact with adults. The same planet where, rather than have someone analyze the individual maturity level on a case by case basis, we create a blanket, arbitrary age that removes them from minority status.

As a juvenile do you have the right not to press charges? I mean its one thing to brag, but he was a willing participant so im sure he doesnt want his pussy train to leave the station.

victims don't press charges, the state does. it's a common misconception because cop shows have screwed it up basically forever. if the victim refuses to cooperate with the investigation, it may cause the prosecutor to decide not to press charges, but that's different from the victim him/herself being the actual decision maker.

These laws arent put in place just to protect the victim. In this case most of us would agree the victim isnt exactly a victim per se. It is the fallout that inevitably occurs that presents the real danger here. What happens when this kid tells his friends what happened? 16 year old boys dont know how to process these things and they dont know how to react. You end up with a whole classroom full of boys who all want to bang the teacher and something really bad could happen when animal spirits get going in a group setting. Then you have all the girls in the class watching the guys act like morons, and at any point along the line, it could blow up in any of their faces. It is too volatile a thing to be bringing into a high school classroom. Note that if the teachers simply told the guy to not say anything, he'd probably be being ridden by one of them tonight.

That's my question, too. I guess it's more exciting to "initiate" a teen.

And I've read the comments from the guys who think it would've been totally cool to be in that boy's position (no pun intended). But as a woman who has had to fight for equal rights in the workplace, I completely support charges being filed. If it works both ways, it cuts both ways. And a person in a position of authority over a minor should be charged for abusing that trust, regardless of gender.

ETA And if that were my son, those women would have my fingernail marks around their eye sockets.

Hell I'd be bragging if I banged them both today and I'm nowhere near adolescence anymore.

I will tell you one thing, that is one stupid fucking kid. I might be bragging my ass off today but if I was 16 I would tell absolutely NO ONE and I do mean NO FUCKING BODY AT ALL. Why?
