boo hoo. :wine:

It doesnt matter how many ranked teams you beat if you lose to unranked teams.

Ask us again when LSU can beat an unranked Arkansas...

so OSU or WV shouldn't be in the NC. That what you're saying?

Kansas is not headed to the National championship yet. They still have to get past Missouri and Oklahoma first before they are a shoe in. So the BCS is working this year regardless of what you think.

LSU just lost to an unranked opponent. If they still deserve to go to the title game, then so does OU and a number of two loss teams. The fact is that these teams do not deserve to go because they failed to win when it counts.

Edit: Texas just lost to A&M so OU is a shoe in for the Big 12 south this year.

a lot of people starts making noises for playoff when their favorite team doesn't make it to NC.

to me, regular season is like the playoff, if you don't loose any game, you're in (if you're in the BCS conference). the system we have right now is really good in my opinion. putting your favorite team in a playoff doesn't guarantee that they don't get knock out in the first round by Arkansas.

Same could be said about the Big 12 this year.

I'm sorry but the big 11 has been playing some terrible football this year.

I don't disagree, but you cant use the exact same argument in favor of one conference and against another.

Yes, clearly we all know by the BCS rules that they DON'T deserve to go, the question you have to ask is if these teams actually PLAYED each other who do you think would win? Ya'll really thing WVU would beat Florida or LSU when their best win is against a team ranked ~#20 and they have lost to any team ranked higher? Sure, their W-L record qualifies them and the fact that they aren't being Hawaii and are at least playing some decent teams gives them enough strength of schedule to qualify for the NC game, but still at the end of the day that doesn't make you the better team. Now FWIW I know LSU ain't even close to being the best team, I have said that forever as I have watched all their games and they are not very good and have been extremely lucky to make it this far. Florida is the best team in the SEC and they won't even make a BCS game but I would give them >50% chance of beating KU or WVU.

only 1 team in the SEC is going to be non-bowl eligible too, it doesn't mean much, most teams schedule enough cupcakes to only need 1 or 2 real wins to actually make bowl eligibility, especially now that all that means is having a .500 record.

Its so sad, LSU could beat any other team in the country not in the SEC, but now no SEC teams get to prove it. SEC champion should just play in the national title game every year no matter what, BCS such crap.

EDIT: clearly all this proves is that the way to get into the title game is to play the most cupcake schedule possible, look at the teams who are going to make it into the NC game, they all played way easier schedules than LSU and will get the reward for being in their cupcake conferences.

lsu should never have been in the championship race in the first place. One of the greatest paper teams ever.

EDIT: at least we can take solace in the fact that nobody will actually WATCH the title game now since very few people will actually agree that they deserve to be there and the playoff system will be coming sooner. IF not for fairness than at least for TV ratings which will be terrible this year.

lsu has also lost to more unranked teams as those teams combined. gg.

How can you possibly make the claim that florida deserves to go to the championship game when they've lost to 2 out of the 4 ranked teams they've played in addition to an unranked team.

I really wouldn't start touting the SEC's OOC schedule.

I just wish the SEC would stfu about the big ten. go out, play, win, and don't worry about what everyone else is doing

That game was a blast to watch, and absolute riot. McFadden is an all-star back.

And SEC fans are funny.

Who cares? Means nothing. When they beat unranked Arkansas come back and tell us about it.

Ya'll really think WVU would beat Florida or LSU when their best win is against a team ranked ~#20 and they have lost to any team ranked higher?

What we think has nothing to do with it. When a team fails to perform, especially against unranked teams they drop out of contention, just as they should.

LOL, so now we should pick based on a assumption of who can beat whom? It doesn't work that way in any sport, including ones with playoffs. You get there by winning when it counts and both LSU and OU failed to do so.

As far as i am concerned, Arkansas is the best team in the SEC for picking off LSU.

Exactly; I propose next year we just take a poll of fans nationwide and have them "think" out the season and national champion. :D
