I installed an older Western Digital 1gig HD that has Win2000 installed already
of course Win2000 had a problem w/ my hardware and settings but before i could make any changes it coflicted w/ my Win98SE somehow
Now, no matter how i set the pins (master, slave,c/s) the bios will not see it ...in two different computers
did i fry it?
can i do a low-level format on this drive?
at this point it's a used drive that doesn't work so i can't lose much
what can i use to "repair" this?
naturally the WD tools from their site don't see it since the bios doesn't see it
any help?
