Love and Relationships forum should be called the perverted or sex forum!

why?

See my locked post at the top of the forum. While some sex threads will be ok, 50+% with titles like 'have you earned your red wings' etc aren't. I 'reset' the forum leaving the type of topics we prefer. If the mix of topics stays reasonable I think we can have the occasionally diversionary thread, but it went way past the line and some people were worried about us getting on banned site lists under the sex category.

The problem is the return to the entirely subjective and undefined rule of the Mod. I had thought that the new forums would be open, but this moderation is a return to the old, as I have said, conservative, style.
Using "'have you earned your red wings" as an example; The real nature of that thread is to ask the questions "Is this socially acceptable? I've done it, should I be ashamed?" While a majority replied with negative responses to the thread, there were a few who posted pertinent info. which could serve to dispel social stigma against an innocuous act. Why would it be locked, considering it was a free exchange of ideas? Most will adhere to their already formed opinions, but there may be some that would gain new insight.

Under the new guidelines it is impossible for that thread to exist, so therefore, impossible for that information to be exchanged.

(I'm really just expressing my opinion that a free exchange of ideas is always better than one moderated from a socially conservative POV, I'm not challenging the right of the moderators to act as commisioned. Do your job, folks, I support you.)

The problem in L&R is sometimes just TMI.

If people could learn to discuss a topic without it getting too vulgar, it would be much better. Unfortunately, too much of AT's population has demonstrated that they aren't capable of such trust. They are the ones who will ultimately spoil it for everyone else.

i understand and agree. nothing had been said about the rules of L&R. we all know that common sense gets lost between a persons fingers and their keyboard. i know my post about 'redwings' was just to test the water and i got extremely bored of "waaahhhh, i broke up with my SO, waahhhhh."
