For most of its history, Louisiana was under Democrat control. N.O. in particular, solidly so. But we know... you babified Dims are NEVER responsible for anything. It's always someone else's fault. Moron Dims hold power over violent inner cities for 100+ years... and it's a Republican's fault!

Now, look at the demographics of the people committing disproportionate amounts of murder in most of those red states. Think of how that might affect your conclusion wrt red vs blue policy.

(Also, lol @ Maryland being a red state)

EDIT: One more hint. West Virginia is one of the poorest and worst states in the country, and also one of the reddest, yet their homicide rate is about dead average. Do you wonder why?

EDIT #2: Your numbers seem wrong anyways, checking the Wikipedia chart. Illinois is #10 right now, Michigan is #9 (generally blue until now), New Mexico (generally blue) is #6, and Nevada is a swing-state anyways.

The people on the north side of the lake apparently aren't Democrats, huh? Nor is the rest of the state who dictates policy. The rest, the majority of people in the parrish, aren't poor because they're Democrats but rather the other way around. They'll be some of the hardest hit with Repub cutbacks, too, but never mind. It's more important to give tax cuts to people who don't need them than to help people who need it.

You need to review the conversation beginning with #38.

There was never a Republican majority in Louisiana until 2010! And that was largely as backlash against how rotten Dims handled Katrina. (Sat on their asses, sat on resources they DID have but were too lazy/inept/corrupt to utilize)...then of course -standard playbook- blamed Republicans.

You rabid Dims are real peices of work. Run a state into the ground for over 100 years...blame a Republican IN THE FUTURE for it!

Well it's topped the murder per capita charts since 1989, but actually the crime rates have dropped slightly since 2010. (Along with crime rates nationwide). But don't ever let facts get in your way.
 
Honestly, any run-off is going to result in a republican win. did you honestly expect anything different?

It's hard enough to get stupid liberals to show up on election day.. I mean, it had BETTER be a presidential election in order to get me to come out amirite? I already voted once, WHYZ I GOTTA VOTE AGAIN?!
