Holy crap his show is really weird. Basically 20 mins of standup material and 10 mins of show.

I'm gonna keep on watching

Watched the first 2 episodes and I can't stand it. He's one of my favorite comedians but it's a really scattered and pointless show.

I like his best case scenario for life. It's so fucking sad but true.

My girlfriend hated the part where he talked about his car and how people just live their life and die of hunger. She turned away immediately after that.

So.

I've never seen his TV show, but his stand-up is bloody hilarious.

I enjoy his standup and liked the clips I saw of his old show on HBO (I think). This new show is terrible. It won't last.

The HBO show was fucking hilarious. I'll check out the new show, see if it sucks like claimed in this thread.

Disagree. Saw the first two eps. Thought the first one was Meh but that the second one was GREAT.

The scene where they're all sitting around playing poker and more or less good-naturedly asking questions and ragging on the one gay guy about sucking dick was priceless! :awe:

Lol, went looking for the clip. Apparently, it was up but Fox took it down . . . yeah, it was THAT good!

Don't listen to these nay saying sayers of nay. It's not as good as the best of his (world class) stand-up, but it's hella decent and LOL funny in parts.

Saw him in NYC a couple years ago, went up to him afterwards with my GF at the time and told him we were big fans of the show. He was a nice guy but gave us a funny look and didn't respond to that comment. It was revealed a few days later that his show got cancelled. Awkward.

Agreed. His stand up is one of my favorites (only behind Jim Jeffries) but the show is pretty bad. I didn't mind Lucky Louie when that was on though.

I remember watching a few episodes of his HBO series and although it had a few good moments, I was never really impressed

He might not be the best actor but he was pretty good as the cop/love interest on Parks & Rec this season.

It's definitely not a show for pussies. It's dark, it's personal and it's fucking hilarious. The first episode was a little rough, but the second was amazing. It hit me just like his comedy does. The jokes are looping right hooks you never see coming.

Haha, why, because it's true and she feels guilty? :awe:

Not his best but I still cracked up laughing a few times. People who are offended by him are pussies.

For the most part he just isn't that funny to me, but every once in awhile he makes me chuckle. I watched the first couple episodes of this show and it was terrible.

Louis CK seems to be one of the best-respected comics, but I must say I've never seen him be even marginally funny. I had high hopes for Lucky Louie based on his reputation, but it was just unwatchable. Hopefully Louie will be better . . .

I'm enjoying his show so far even though it has some rough patches. I think it has a good overall base to it. He's doing this by himself for the most part, so it'll take him a while to find his stride. I have no doubt in my mind that the show and concepts will get exponentially better as he gets more experience.

saw the first 3 episodes. I kinda like it, but it is just so awkward. The long cuts with him and nick dipalo in the last episode just made me cringe - not from being offended, but because of the sheer awkwardness.
