Louis C.K.'s new TV show on FX

the show has been really funny so far. last night's episode was good. his agent was hilarious.

best scene so far in the series has been ricky gervais though. that is such a great 5 minute clip

Yeah, the show got quite a bit funnier after the first 2 episodes IMO which is good.

What's everyone else thinking of this show now that the first season is about over? Like I said above it's really up and down, can be really funny or just really weird/boring.

The episode 'Dogpound' I liked a lot, there was like 17 minutes of gold in there.

it is very up and down. last night's episode was actually BAD. none of it was really funny. the last 3 episodes have been very strange, but at least the other ones have been kinda funny. last night wasn't

That show is lucky to be after Rescue Me. If it was after any other show, it would not have a chance....

I fully understand why most don't like this show. It's far from the best comedy on TV, but I happen to like it. It is up and down, but there are absolute comedy gold nuggets in even the worst episode that make the whole 25 minute or so worth it for me.

Sometimes it's just the little toss off things, like in Dogpound where he visits his pothead neighbor, and the only place to sit is on a futon on the floor featuring a completely passed out woman.

Louie asks who she is, and the guy says, "I thought she was with you" and then admits its his wife, whose name turns out to be "Shit Piss Fart" because "her parents were hippies."

The guy gets Louie wasted (with the most realistic pot smoking scenes I can remember seeing), and Louie "sees" the dog in the chair across from him is now suddenly a different dog!

"What is that dog?"
"You mean, that dog?"
"Uh, yeah, he's a different dog from originally"
"Well, of course he's different, he's been through a lot in the 2 minutes since you came in."

Then Louie wakes up back in his apartment with the TV playing some movie with dialogue between two well dressed women:

"I felt so uncomfortable in there, I couldn't get my point across, they were all just staring at my vagina."
"Well, maybe you should have covered it up."
"What?"
"You're vagina, maybe you should have put something over it." <------ Hands her a piece of cardboard.

Lol, it's the little things that crack me up in Louie.
