just look http://www.airforce-technology.com/projects/tiger/

Clarkson is anti-American!! He called the Brit Apache pilots the best in the world? Yeah right. Let's see those toothless Brits make an attack chopper as good as the Apache...oh, that's right. They can't!!! They're too busy eating tea and crumpets.

And Clarkson LOVES to talk about fatarse Americans. The last time I checked, that wooley-haired sheep ain't that svelte himself

Wow, highly unamerican. It'd be great to see a Z06 tear that thing apart. Surely the z06 is at least close for handling, and could make up for it with sheer power?
Both a Z06 and a Viper would dust that thing in the quarter, as well as top speed. I can't seem to find any skidpad numbers for the Lotus, but I think the Z06 would beat it there too, or at least keep up.

The Z06 and Viper would be seariously raped on turn-in and maneuverability. We're talking a 1,900 lb go cart vs 3,200 lb beasts.

The latest Automobile magazine took the Elise & Viper SRT-10 around the new Barber Motorsport Park. It's a new big track, which gives quite a bit of advantage to powerful cars (as opposed to smaller, tigher courses).

The Viper did it in 1 min, 45.3 sec, the Elise in 1 min 46.9 sec. Pretty darn close considering the Exige definitely beats the Elise around the track. Porsche 911 GT3 did it in 1 min, 44.1 sec.

GT3 > Viper :D

yeah.. america's army > britain's... let's see, 9,100,000 square mile country with nearly every resource in the world... vs an island... most advanced military in the world... vs europe :p

edit: "Tiger is being built by Eurocopter, a subsidiary of the EADS (European Aeronautics Defence and Space) i love how their stuff is in a combination of nations stuck together in joint funding.. yet 1 country still manages to beat them

Is this show on TV anywhere here in the states? I don't see it on BBC America or Speedvision.

Actually, it was Oct 1996 I believe, though Proton was the actual buyer (which was owned by the Malaysian Govt, but sold to HICOM-DRB, a private company, later in 1996).

Sadly, no. Americans are such dumb-asses...1) for not making such a cool show and 2) for at least not airing the BBC program here. You'd think Top Gear = large audience = lots of corporate sponsors through ads. Go figure!

They wont show it over here, they will buy the rights for it, "try" and copy the format, use cheesy over paid presenters with flawless good looks and big grins, who know nothing about cars, the show will be 100% scripted with bad jokes with back handers from the car firms calling the shots, and no one will complain because its better than the cr*p that we get now.

Edit= and i wonder if a car firm advertising on the channel will ever get bad reviews?
