Anyone heard if this is true? I heard that the slip cover box will be a freebie at Best Buy when buying the extended edition... This way for those of us who already bought the Extended Editions of the other two, it'd be like the boxed set that they are selling. (Ya know, put them all into one box)

I agree. the frodo, sam and gollum scenes got old about ten minutes into the second film. Watching a shrivled up grey thing get abused by a fat midget while they climb over rocks is entertaining and all, except for the fact that it isn't.

Just so everyone who ordered ROTK from coconuts knows, there is a $7 rebate available for the extended edition. Look for a link on your coconuts.com order summary page. After rebate, ROTK Extended wide screen cost me a total of $13!! BTW, my copy arrived the morning of Monday the 13th. Good job coconuts...
