It was quite amusing at first simply because I've always wanted ot visit Japan. Now I'm watching the movie windowed because it's gotten boring as hell.

Where is the plot going? It just seems aimless and the relationship development is stagnant and overdragged...

I have about 30 mins left, Scarlett Johasson is aimlessly walking around temple...

yeah it's slow. It also seems like it's one of those movies that people either really like or absolutely hate

Yeah, I also feel like it's one of those movies that needs to be watched in the theaters because it is slow but it's also amazing. Being at home provides too many distractions.

Well seems like 2 opinions so far on the "hate" one... I don't care either way, meh.

My girlfriend loved this movie and I thought it was boring as hell. I guess she viewed herself as the chick and me as Bill Murray, hehe.

I loved every minute of it. Thought it was great and even bought it on DVD.

i didn't care much for the story, but Bill Murray is hilarious. My favorite part was when he was talking to the old lady in the hospital, and you can see the other ladies in the background trying to hold their laughter.

I got all the culture I needed from Kill Bill Volumes 1 and 2.

One thing these movies have in common, is the sound had a $50 budget

Chalk up another vote for "loved it."
It's top quality filmmaking with a plot that appeals to few (relative to other big movies)
