Does it seem to anyone else like the episodes are getting shorter, aka more commercials ?
I recorded it then watched it on the dvr and fast forwarded the commercials, and it seemed like I was doing more fast forwarding than watching.

I don't know, but the commercials seem more frequent. Last night I remember bitching to myself (outloud) about commercials every 5 minutes. Surprisingly, the commercials were pretty short, only 1-1.5 minutes.

Great episode!

When Ben pulled the shotgun out of the piano bench I LOLed. When he killed the 2 dudes in the desert I was WOWed. When he bluffed and got his daughter killed I was all "You asshole!".

He wasn't bluffing. He thought they would adhere to the rule which most likely was "don't mess with family." Which was why he was so shocked when he actually shot her.

I guess the lowly merc guy didn't get the note...

That's what I thought too, but Ben was trying to convince the guy that she WASN'T really family.

wtf?!

1) Sawyer has Star Wars luck.

ie: Storm troopers have pinpoint marksmanship, except when shooting at any of the stars of the show.

2) Missile blows up house to smithereems (ie: nothing left except the frame), and Claire survives. wait.. not only does she live, she only has a few scratches and is concious.

Hell, people whose houses that get glanced by tornadoes arent that healthy.

edit:
Who the hell is Nadia?

I loved that scene. "Hey, get back!" *Bam* "Get down!" *Bam* "Get back!" *Bam* "Get down!" *Bam* "Get back!" *Bam* "Get down!" *Bam*

the house scene is a LOT different than a tornado devastating a house, and is actually kind of possible. Grenade explosions happen up and out.. the concussive blast probably knocked her down immediately, although she should have been buried in a little bit of rubble and maybe have some fragmentary wood hit her. So yes, it was part of the writing to make her alive, and admittedly should have suffered some minor injuries, but I'd argue it's possible to survive that scenario.
I found the scene prior to that more entertaining, as ScottB alludes.
Person 1: Oh, hey... gunfire. What's going on, I think I should come out. *bam*
Person 2: What's that? Gunfire? The person who ran out first is down? I should come outside! *bam*
Meanwhile Sawyer runs around like a chicken with his head cut off and getting behind easily penetrable cover. Very Star War like.
But oh well. Great episode.

😀 It was starting to remind of a FPS when the AI keeps respawning in the same area.

Well, I just popped ten - and look! Here come another ten! Pop them - wait, here come another ten!

Here's your info on poor Nadia. She was first introduced back in season 1 in Solitary. A must see episode, if ever there was one. I've been a huge Sayid fan ever since.

This weeks show was the best all season. The ending really had me LOST though. How does he inform Widmore about the death of his daughter, when it just happened? Furthermore, how the heck does Widmore already know all about it? I'd love to hear the theories on this.

But didn't it take place in 2005? When did it jump to the future? I had a call while I was watching it, so maybe I missed something.

I'm not sure, actually... I find all the jumping around difficult to place on a time line. I had just assumed that after Ben got off the island, he made his way to Widmore's place.

The island is still in the year 2004 pretty sure.

there's only been like 4 months on the island. that's why they had to get rid of walt, remember? the actor was aging much faster than the character.

Great episode. I've been too busy I finally got the chance to watch it along with The Office.

For the last time stop bitching about commercials and episode length. If you ever torrent an episode, it's 42-43 minutes long and has been since Season 1. I used a commercial stripper to cut down the HD feed I recorded, and it's 42 minutes. It's all an illusion.
