Deus Ex Machina

Medical problems abound, as Jack toys with letting Sawyer suffer from his blinding headaches and Locke develops strange symptoms of his own while trying to crack open that enigmatic hatch. Meanwhile, the rift between Michael and Jin makes work on the raft quite a chore. Emily: Swoosie Kurtz. Cooper: Kevin Tighe. Eddie: George O'Hanlon.
 
I was half paying attention, but I think his kidney... I got pretty confused though... a lot of this show confuses me.
 
it was a kidney transplant...but i dont think that cooper guy was really his dad. he just paid the mother to appraoch him.
 
The damn local station broke in with a weather report during the show. Just when Boone was telling Locke who Teresa was... all the way to the commercial. :| Can anyone tell me what I missed?

Teresa was Boone's nanny. When he was 6 years old he was a pain in the ass one day, kept calling her, making her go up and down the stairs all day. Ultimately, she fell down the stairs and broke her neck.

So what happened after that story was told? I missed how Locke was asked to give up is kidney. When the show came back on after commercial, they were already in the hospital together.

He wasn't asked. He started bonding with his dad then offered to give him his kidney. When he awoke after surgery, the dad was gone and the mother came in and started apologizing, saying that the father had asked her to track Locke down. Locke realized that his "bonding" was just a scam so the father could get a kidney from him. He was devistated.

EDIT: Nevermind, I re-read your post and realize that you saw all of that part.

They didn't show a specific scene where he offered. They went hunting together. Locke got a bird on his first shot and his dad said, "Nice shot son." He then said something to the effect of "I'm glad we can enjoy this time while we can." The next scene was Locke and his dad in opposite hospital beds.

I got so mad at the end of the episode when Locke found out he got scammed. They really showed the worst of a person wiht that scene. I dunno how someone could do that.

that flyer that locke found on his car was for a lost dog. did it look like the kid's dog?

also, it looks like the musician guy will be tempted to use heroin again. i don't see this going well for him.

I don't think it was, they just showed a glimpse of the paper and it appeared to be a darker dog. I just went over it a couple of times with my TiVo and I really couldn't get any good information from that. The only visible piece of information on that piece of paper was "Lost Dog".
