So these promos. Jin Kwon can suddenly speak English as well as Gavin Park, Daniel Dae Kim?s evil-lawyer character on ?Angel?? Are you going to stop watching before you find out what that?s about??

I asked ?Lost? co-creator/showrunner Damon Lindelof if the Hanso Foundation was an homage to the gruff-but-loveable sushi-chef in ?Kill Bill.? Came the response:
Alvar Hanso is no relation to Hattori Hanzo. The spelling is even different!

ALERT: This week's episode slows it down. Not a lot of mythology. Not a lot of "plot advancement." Just good, clean character-based storytelling, Hurley-style.

Speaking of Jin, another alleged snippet of his future dialogue:
?Michael, no! That isn?t Walt! STOP!?

From whence does this emerge? Another longtime reader writes:
Hey Herc,

I don't know if you have seen this yet but if you go to http://www.oceanicflight815.com, click on the barcode at the bottom of the page and type in "theislandiswaiting" a page of a script from an upcoming episode #206 pops up. Interesting to say the least....

Enjoy!
The NaSkAr

Can we hear barking?
Our own Moriarty threw this at my head over the weekend:
Okay... by now you've seen this:

Now, just for fun, add an "s" so it looks like this:

with all the weird stuff coming from out of the blue, nothing surprises me with that series. hey if the Island could make a paraplegic walk again, why not make a guy who couldn't speak a word of English fluent in it?!

They've answered quite a few questions. The only thing is, with each question answered, there are more questions that arise.

I look forward to your comments after you finish watching tonights episode :D

- we know what the island is.

- we know the function of the monster.

- we know who built the hatch and why.

- we know who the others are and how they wound up on the island.

- we know the back-stories of our characters and the past transgressions that they will be working out in the crucible of the island.

- we knew how the first season would end well in advance and already know how the second will end as well.

- we know that we can?t hinge the endings of the third and fourth seasons on any particular revelations yet because we don?t know how long the series will last and have to time our disclosure of our secrets accordingly.

- we know why oceanic 815 crash landed on the island.

here are some other parts of our master plan:

- we invent stories for the daily life of the characters on the island on an ongoing basis because exploration of mythology alone doesn?t allow you to create compelling drama: with every episode we ask ourselves the question ?what?s going on in the island and how can we use that to show off the problems of our characters and reveal some of our mythological elements.?

- we allow ourselves the freedom to incorporate new ideas that improve and enhance our story (another example ? the moment the hatch appeared, we knew there?d be a person down there, but Desmond?s individual story did not develop until later).

- we know the show will end when we reveal the true makeup of the island and why our characters landed there.

The writers for Alias didn't know where they were going either. They had plans for what will happen the next few episodes (or maybe half a season). It's been entertaining (moreso in the past) for 4+ years now. If you hadn't noticed, writers for shows aren't the same person every episode... it's a collaborative project with a simple direction. We are being strung along, but that's part of the fun for guessing what will happen next. It keeps it from being too linear. This isn't a 2-hour movie, and obviously it isn't for everybody.

Kate (looking for the fuse box): did you find it?
Hurley (finds the storage room filled with food): it depends on what you mean by "it"
still funny!
