Los Angeles War Protest Oct 6......with PICS!!

10,000? That's it? *yawn* There was a protest in DC recently where 100,000 crazy leftwingers were supposed to show up, but only about 5,000 actually did. Supposedly, there were almost as many conservatives mocking them with signs that said "I love capitali$m" 🙂

Even though they had cops everywhere with riot gear, they supressed it from the news pretty well. You don't want sh1t like this getting out!!

Some guy from CNN was in front of me with a big ass camera on his shoulder and his cell phone rings which he answers, "Hello, yeah, it's pretty damn big down here! ok, later!" That made my day.

There was a protest here over the weekend. Myself and some friends we out to "assist" them with the facts. It was pretty funny when we got there. The protestors were 95% old burnt out hippies that were more or less still protesting Vietnam. The remaining 5% was made up of multi pierced/multi tattooed freaks, people with orange or green or blue hair, and a few kids who were obviously dragged there by their parents and had no idea what they were protesting. It wasn't even a challenge to shout them down. Probably only about 150-175 of them though.

You shouted them down? Whoever is louder is right eh?

It was a little more lively in Los Angeles. Home of the RIOTS. It would have been out of hand if it was Dtown. I was hoping to get tear gassed since it's been nearly 10 years since I was last gassed in Ann Arbor when Michigan went to the Final Four.

No, it's just when asked why they were protesting the #1 answer we got was something along the lines of "Because Bush just wants to rule the world man. It's all about the oil." No intelligent responses at all. Had a couple of the wacko "Bush planned the 9/11 attacks" people there. Even had one guy try to convince me that Hussein was just misunderstood. Yeah misunderstood like a certain vegetarian painter from Germany.

that's sad, if they indeed try to censure this whole thing out...

and Nutbucket: you live in Westwood? and you drive to CalPoly every week?

Nothing much.....just keeping you safe. Don't worry though because better men than yourself, and most of us here, will go into danger to insure our safety and freedoms. Thank God for them and the job they do.

Nicely said.

Personally, no call yet (and I stress yet). But when the call comes, I?ll be ready to fight, even for those that protest me and my country!

The funniest part was, for me at least, that there were a lot of people in attendance that weren't even protesting the war. Driving by, I could see a lot of signs saying things like "Jesus Saves", "Abortion is Murder", and other completely unrelated stuff. I had to laugh. By the way, I live about 2 blocks from where the protest was.
