LOTR by a mile. The Hobbit could have been a very good movie. Heck, perhaps it could have been two pretty good movies. But trying to pad it out to three was a mistake, it just got monotonous. When the third one gets out on BluRay I hope a talented editor takes the three Hobbits and condenses them down to 2:30 to 3:00 total running time. That would be worth seeing.

So I just watched the 2nd movie for the first time some days ago. At first it was about the same as the first movie but halfway through the movie everything was made shit by Orlando Bloom and his lensflare. There were a few problems I had with the first movie but they were relatively minor in comparision.

Fuck it all.

Evangeline Lilly and various Elf fantasies did help me watch the second Hobbit. 🙂

She's pretty much the only reason I enjoyed the second film. I don't even find her that attractive in "real" life, but dressed up as an elf, she's very attractive.

Loved 'em all, but I'd give the LOTR trilogy the nod over the Hobbit. Looking forward to seeing the last Hobbit soon.

I'm a movie lover and can't get enough. I won't slam a movie just because it's not the best ever, so long as it's not absolute crap.

Heck, I even liked The Godfather III and the Star Wars prequels.

The Hobbit movies are just boring. Like said many times before it's because they stretched it to three movies. At most it should have been two but one would have been better.

Like all LOTR movies, the music carries it. The hobbit was no different. I enjoyed both. Also Martin Freeman > Elijah Wood, easily.

Which do you prefer? I like the hobbit better, I watched the two films and when they ended I was thinking aww its over 🙁 Whereas with the lotr movies I was pretty relieved when they finally ended, even though I liked them they dragged quite a bit in places.

switch "hobbit" with "LoTR" in your statements, and I completely agree.

I've only watched the first 2 hobbit movies and honestly, I thought it was a huge disappointment, it kind of ignored some great moments of the book and added some really silly stuff, and it's not like they didn't have enough time with 3 movies....

LOTR was a lot better.

I've read the hobbit book a few times. The movie is way too long even then they missed out of some cool stuff.

Third Hobbit was very good, MUCH better than the first although not as good as the second.

LOTR was great all around.
