Looks like Ind Gov Mike Pence is Trump's VP pick

A nearly totally inept conservative politician who mouths all the right things at social conservatives who's major obvious accomplishment is managing to step on his own dick repeatedly as governor. A not surprising, if underwhelming, choice.
 
Pence is also another who came out very publicly decrying Trump's Muslim ban as unconstitional, praised the TPP and urged it's swift adoption and supports NAFTA.

The backpeddling should be fun to watch.

Not that I was expecting him to pick someone worth a damn though. Hoosiers must be excited; if Drumpf somehow wins, Pence is gone. If Drumpf gets the brutal drubbing in Nov he's got coming, Pence will be repudiated by the non-evangelical GOP establishment as damaged goods and won't win another race.

And the GOP ranks of old, detached, hyper-religious authoritarians will continue to dwindle.

Pence is an idiot and I have to personally thank Trump - you saved Indiana from the possibility of another 4 years of "service" from this idiot.

Pence is known as "Governor Dense" or "Governor Empty Suit" in Indiana and for good reason. The guy is a horrible governor who is still riding the coat tails of one of our best governors (Mitch Daniels). He's a far-right religious wacko who endorsed Cruz and was probably going to be booted from office in November. Even if Trump were to win, there is no way Pence will ever become President.

I can't tell you how happy we Hoosiers are that Pence is gone! A minor correction - Pence is gone regardless of whether Trump wins or not. Under Indiana law, he had until 7/15 to decide which office to run for - governor or VP - in the fall election. He can't run for both and to be honest, there was a very good chance he was going to lose his re-election bid for Governor in November and even Republicans here wanted him gone.
