looks like I bought AMD and NVDA at the right....wrong time

Horrible guidance and huge write offs.

You are looking at a single digit stock here boys.

I guess it wasn't the right time to buy.

total revenues of approximately $410 million to $430 million for the second
quarter of fiscal 2003 ending July 28, 2002. The decrease in revenues from
the prior period was primarily the result of broad weakness in the personal
computer market. In addition, the Company expects to take a significant
inventory write-off in the second quarter. Including the inventory write-off,
the Company expects its earnings for the second quarter to be at or above
break-even.


Street was expecting $563M and $0.40 EPS. They are also anticipating a huge write off.

LOL! Just hang on and wait until after hours and tomorrow................I just read the forecast on my Bloomberg page.............🙁 They also got all over TSMC today and pulled a bunch of orders...........NV30??????

EDIT: So far it has fallen 24 percent in after hours trading.

i own 322 shares of nvidia. oh yes i am sad.


oddly i think it'll go up tommorrow. since everyone already has seen every single piece of possible bad news, well the stocks tend to go up the day after a bad news, and down the day after a good news. its wierd like that, anyways, i'm screwed since most of my shares were from mid may at 38 dollars a share, so i've lost a lot.

True, I have faith in Nvidia- well I guess I had faith in 3dfx also, but that's besides the point. I'm looking forward to the winter time with new releases from both nvidia and amd

damn.. NVidia down almost $4 in after hours trading...

I recently picked up some AMD which hasn't really gone anywhere yet...

I'm disappointed in my SUN stock though... I mean c'mon.. they reported a profit last quarter, and were honest that with the way the economy is going that they may not do so next quarter... and the stock has now dropped to $4... 🙁

Oh well... it'll go up some day.
