Howdy all, Firstly yes I am a console gamer bit older so I find consoles are simpler to handle and perfect for how often I play.

But wanting to transition off the controller and more towards the keyboard and mouse so I can play a bit better and have a little more freedom now that games on Xbox allow support , I will be buying the Xbox series x when they are finally available but...

As I am new to the mouse and keyboard crowd what is the difference between Logitech and Razer?

Wireless mouse I have found the Logitech mouse seems pretty standard but expensive

but the one that I think looks better and has a great price tag is the Razer Basilisk half the price! Although not sure about the wire, is there much difference in wireless and wired I assume wired gives a faster input??

with a massive price difference is there something I am missing about the Razer?

Among the quality gaming mice (Logitech, Razer, Steelseries, Xtrfy, Cooler Master, Zowie, etc) you are not going to find any significant performance differences. Many of the models source the sensor from the same place and the modern sensors in gaming mice are better than they ever have been.

As far as wireless vs wired, these days the input lag difference between them is basically non-existent. You will see plenty of professional e-sports players using a wireless mouse, and those are the folks that depend their peripherals to make money.

I have a Basilisk X Hyperspeed, good value for the money, but it has a unique shape that isn't going to work for everyone. It's actually a spare mouse for me because I couldn't get into the shape or weight. That being said, it performs perfectly, it all just comes down to ergonomic preferences.

Bottom line (in my opinion), among the good brands it all comes down to what is ergonomic for you.

Oh I havent heard of some of those brands, I'll be sure it give them a look at! Yeah I thought of the youtubers I had had a quick look at they never used wired so thats great to know!

Oh that is interesting to know about the shape! I can see what you mean from the images it doesn't look like your thumb would site as natural as normally on other mice!

Maybe I'll go into my local PC world and have a play with one (not likely now covid is a thing)

Great help though thanks a lot @Spikke
