taking my kids to Sesame Place today and see the wonder in their eyes and hear their laughter.

Can't wait. :)

No plans yet. Might drive down to Jacksonville Beach, FL, if my daughter feels well. If not, we'll just stay home and maybe just go to the lake and BBQ.

The weather is going to kill my plans too. I'm sure the wife will find something for me to do though...

Yes!
This is typically a fun weekend.
Greek Church close by has a festival with yummy food and lots of people. Wife & I really enjoy it.
City has a nice parade, I’ll do some volunteer work for my Church either setting up the bbq area or grilling. I’ll meet some bros after the parade to help clean up at the lodge, maybe have a slice of pizza with them.
Typically this is one of the best weekends of the year for me. Good local interactions with people I live near and like.

Work Saturday, Sunday as well if I don't finish Saturday. Have to finish MIL's new front porch. Monday will work on my never ending honeydo list.

The problem with having skills, tools and motivation is that I never get to stop working.

Not much. Watch some football Friday and Saturday, and maybe some futbol on Sunday. Fantasy football draft on Monday.

I'll have to wait two more weeks until I get some lake time.

What do you do?
General contractor. Pretty much all of my work is room additions, and the vast majority of those are in one small town near by. Lots of very old, small homes in an area that's appreciated at an insane rate. Little 1000 foot homes on small lots that are worth a million bucks.

Yeah I totally understand, too bad we aren’t closer to each other. I have tons of referral stuff for guys like you.
The home value thing is insane right now, funny how nobody gets market forces.
I have a transaction closing next week and it’s bank appraised value is almost 15% more than purchase price and I’m like yeah it’s a bank appraisal but this is great! Best one I’ve ever had percentage wise. Clients are like meh should be higher....

I'm playing Obi-Wayne Kenobi with my chainsaw-on-a-stick and making a landfill run.

Edit: turns out that we used to have a member here named Obi-Wayne Kenobi, who knew?

given the current forecast, paddle boarding in a hurricane is probably not happening.

Going to a cook out being held at my niece's fiances house (the just got engaged last month). Really happy for them - they seem to work well together and bother are reasonably mature (~27) which should prevent some teething problems that younger couples seem to face. Sucky part is I can't have any beer because of a muscle relaxant I had to be put on because of back spasms - falling down basement stairs will fuck you up.

I did a place about 2 years back, 800 foot house, 2 steps out the front door put you on the sidewalk, train tracks behind the small back yard. Added 600 feet, it appraised at 1.2 million. It's nothing short of insane. Go to a fly over red state and that money will get you a 6000 foot custom mansion on a 100 acres. Probably have enough left over to build your own golf course.
