I'm looking to slim down what I carry in my wallet and thinking of keeping it in my front/cargo pockets. What do you guys use or recommend?

I use an aluminum wallet that fits nicely in my front pocket. Hold about 10 cards.

I hate the bulkiness of a wallet so never really carry one, I just carry a debit or credit card and cash and put it straight in my pocket. Downside is if I run into a situation where I need ID or something I specifically have to remember to bring it. But really it's not a big deal.

What do you absolutely need to carry with you in your wallet every day?

Mainly a few CCs/debit cards (2-4) and my ID. I don't carry cash very often, and I decided I won't be carrying any of my business cards anymore so that will help slim it down a bit.

I use a 12" rubber tube that fits nicely in my front pocket. Hold about 150 nickles.

My father folded his paper money around his id and credit cards and rubber banded it so that he didn't even have a money clip.

I was in the same boat and wanted to try something slimmer that could fit in my front pocket since I don't carry much so I ended up getting one of these:

After like a week, I returned it though because I just couldn't get used to it. And I don't use cash much, but trying to get cash out of there when I did need it was a pain in the ass. I just went with a normal wallet and I don't keep much in it so it's fairly slim.

I carry my driver license and a debit card in a card sleeve. Then bills are folded in half and kept in the same pocket. No need for a money clip or rubber band.

Even a slim wallet might be more than you need. I think some of the hybrid money clip/card holders posted would do the trick. I used to have a link to a really good one but I can't find it. I'll try to dig it up. It was kinda cool and tactical.

What's this ID thing? How old are you all? I've not been asked for ID for decades unfortunately! :(

It's pretty hard to say OP, how much stuff do you carry on your wallet?

If it's just a CC and some notes could you not do a money clip and contactless on your phone?

I'm going to be 32 soon and still get asked for ID sometimes. :D The beard helps though, I don't get asked as much.

I keep a bulky trifold in my front pocket with my pocket knives. The size is ok, but I'm not thrilled with the location. Hard to adjust. It was in my back pocket for decades, and I have mini panic attacks when I notice it isn't there. It's also harder to get knives out. I tried switching to see if it helped my back. So far, no back issues after a few months, but it's always been sporadic. I could go months at a time without incident, then have it go really wrong :shrugs:
