Russel Allen and Jorn Lande just released their newest album "The Showdown" I've been listening to it nonstop and its just an amazing piece of work.

This is from their previous album, you should check out "The Battle" and "The Revenge" They are both amazingly awesome albums.

I'm pretty sure these guys are my favorite singers ever, but Jorn lande edges out Russel Allen easily. But nevertheless these guys are probably some of the best singers in metal.

Also, Jorn alone is pretty amazing too

No offense man, but that sounds like 80's music not any type of metal. Hints of power metal like Nightwish, but meh.

I saw Ayreon and Star one, but no Stream of Passion. So, I'm gonna say Stream of Passion, awesome female vocs and music big Arjen A Lucassen!

Also, these guys have been around for ages, but maybe worth checking out The Gathering and Theater of Tragedy.

Last, Opeth, but you may not like some of their material as they do engage in some hefty deathy vocals... but it's just so damn fucking awesome....

I'm not a big fan of Stream of Passion or Guilt Machine...I own both because of Arjen, but they just don't do it for me like Ayreon and Star One.

Haven't heard Guilt Machine yet here....
I'll admit Star One and Ayreon are his best works (Especially The Human Equation &Into The Electric Castle... so fvcking majestically awesome!!!!)
but the OP mentioned Nightwish, so I figured maybe he'd like some female vox too... (main reason for mentioning it)

That said, I know what you are saying, I don't care too much for Ambeon...

Someone at work sent me a song by a band called 'Am I Blood' song titles 'Shadows with the Colors'. I like the song personally, but have never heard anything else from them to say if they are good.

Might be worth googling or youtubing.

death - the sound of perseverance

its considered death metal to some, but the lyrics aren't nasty and you can understand what he is saying

Checked out a couple of their most recent songs (from 2005) and they sound pretty solid. VERY similar to early metallica in every form, which isn't bad at all but also isn't groundbreaking. They have 2 earlier albums in the 90s but I haven't listed to any of that.

To some?
Chuck is pretty much the godfather of all death metal.
Sound of Perseverance is one of the best technical death metal albums of all time.

I know what you're getting at, that it's not gore metal or anything like that, but, it is death metal, just like how Morningrise and Orchid are Death Metal.
