If you have answered A: ikea or B: build it yourself, im sorry, you are wrong.

The correct answer is C: refurbished office furniture.

Office desks are far more rigid and solid than any ikea could do, they can be calibrated and the materials are better (very flat surfaces, very rigid surface) than what you get at B&Q. For computer use the office desk is king.

For looks, not so.
