What if you just found any game that fits your rating system. Then disable chat. Then have a ventrillo channel or something for you guys to talk. That will rule out anyone else talking to him, and would widen the amount of games you could play together. And you could also talk in between games, or whenever you wanted really.

Diablo II?

The two of you can go through the whole game together in a private, password protected game. Nice and slow paced too.

lol... in addition to him being near-obsessed with driving games ONLY, his very religious mom would blow a gasket if she caught him playing DIABLO! :D

I second Sonic All Star Racing Transformed - So much fun

Trine 2 is also great but maybe a bit hard for a ten year old

Sonic looks like it could be the big winner... big thanks for everyone's suggestions!

It's interesting how much a barely-10 year old boy can love Euro Truck Sim2 (a surprisingly fun game!)

Did you ever give TDU a try? Racing around the island is pretty fun,

Sonic All-Stars Transformed would be a good one.

Took advantage of the 75% off steam sale and got the 4-pack for a lousy $15

We both love it! (Me at 40, he at 10.) :$

No wonder it gets such great reviews! Thanks to all who suggested it!

Burnout paradise, I think you can make your own server (someone correct me if I'm wrong), that is just a ton of fun
