No personal experience but that ASUS VZ279H "eyecare" by mnewsham looks great at $130 for 27 inches at Newegg after rebate card.

I found something that could be a huge help and it is super easy. Rather than messing with accessibility options or screen resolution, right click/display settings/scale and layout/change the size of text, apps and other items. Works perfectly with no blurriness.

Just run your new screen at the native res and if stuff is too small change the setting I mention above.

Within a browser you can hit control/plus sign to magnify or control minus sign to zoom out.

Also control and the mouse scroll wheel can be used to zoom in and out.

So I got the dell and Asus, my issues are the following I think the screen is just too big for me overall, I'm adjusting everything but obviously a bigger screen is a lot more light in your face. Text looks good but I'm struggling to get the other settings to my liking just because I think it's too big for me. I also see some of the negative visual effects of it being 1080p on a 27 inch screen.

So my question is if I go down to say 23 or 24 would I be able to make all text larger but crisp and also not look ridiculous I'm also interested in a bigger resolution at these sizes potentially just so everything is perfect quality. I know I'm a tough user to recommend for sorry.

The amount of light from a bigger screen could be troublesome, or you might get accustomed to it. When I went up to 27 inches the screen just looked huge, now it seems normal and other screens seem small.

You can adjust the size of things by right clicking: /display settings/scale and layout/change the size of text, apps and other items,
