You wanted the truck, but it could have had problems that would have made your life a living hell. Then you find out another offer came in one day earlier and it was accepted. Then you have to go back to looking at houses, wishing that you didn't miss 'that one.'

Well, a better one usually comes around in the end. And if you're patient, what you DO get will often be a lot better than the one you were fixating on and didn't get.
